[The man now visible on the screen of the Dreamberry doesn't look anywhere near as happy as his younger self did in the dream. It may be the middle of the night, but he is now wide awake; it's a miracle that he was able to fall asleep in the first place. Seeing the blinking of the recording light on his Dreamberry, with a weary sigh, he halfheartedly reaches over to turn it off.]

[The video feed begins with the Dreamberry's owner looking furious. He's not facing the device yet, but somewhere off to the side as he growls at someone in the room.]

I asked you to watch him, Otacon!

You're the one who brought him back here! Since when was I a babysitting service?!

What'd you expect me to do, dump a traumatized child soldier at the local orphanage?

I didn't say that! Don't put words into my mouth. Bringing him here could've put Sunny in real danger!

Which is exactly why you should have been keeping an eye on him!

You brought him here! He was your responsibility Snake!

I had to leave for work. What else was I supposed to do?

Oh, so you brought him here knowing full well I'd be the one left looking after him? Thanks a lot Snake. You could've scheduled some time off work, the effect is only ever temporary anyway. What if he'd reverted back whilst here? What then?!

[Snake finally turns to the Dreamberry. Has that been on this entire time? Oops.]

There's a missing child. Male, thirteen, shoulder-length blond hair, answers to the name 'Liquid', last seen near the Zephry Pointe complex. Anybody seen him?

Dream Effect: First half: Not a care in the world, joy, then fear at the very end. Second half: Weakness, anger, physical pain.

[Snake wakes with a startled gasp. He quickly sits up and looks at his hands -- they appear no different from the way they were the previous night. He turns on the light by his bed and inspects them carefully once more, but that doesn't change what he sees. Those watching him through the Dreamberry will also notice that his face and hair remain normal as well -- no more wrinkles than necessary, no gray hairs. Snake leaves the Dreamberry and gets out of bed to check his face in the mirror. After a minute of staring at an empty bed, the transmission simply ends on its own.]

[Snake is then awakened by a series of shrill beeps. It's the timer going off. Not even noticing that the Dreamberry is on, he stands up, stretches his arms, and walks over to the oven. He opens it. A large cloud of dark smoke is expelled. Coughing violently, he attempts to shake it away and see what the hell happened to his pizza. Once the smoke clears somewhat, his pizza becomes visible at last.]

Son of a--

[The Dreamberry feed then somehow cuts off on its own.]

[It's still the middle of the night, but he's wide awake now. Snake looks over to the other side of the room where Frank is sleeping. Sitting up in his bed, he silently watches the young soldier and waits for morning to come. The Dreamberry transmission cuts off on its own.]
